MND Big Freeze
Today at our senior assembly, we officially launched our FightMND Big Freeze Event, which will be held next Tuesday, June 18, at 2:45 PM. Thank you to Mr. Tim Richardson for agreeing to be the first person to be frozen by our students. Families are welcome to join our event next Tuesday, with a sausage sizzle being run out of the canteen, thanks to the amazing support from our EPS Communities team. We’ll also have a chocolate coin toss competition. I will be joined by several teachers and members of our community, including the Edithvale CFA, Chelsea Police, and Kingston Councillor Hadi Saab, as we get dunked into our icy dunk tank.
If your child would like to push the button and dunk one of our FightMND plungers, please use the link below to enter the silent auction. The top bid amounts will be selected to push the button, with all proceeds going to FightMND. https://www.32auctions.com/organizations/120051/auctions/164316/auction_items/5455231
Tuesday will be a free dress day for FightMND, so please bring a gold coin donation for your free dress as well as gold coins for the coin toss.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO CANTEEN ORDERS AND SALES ON THIS DAY
Semester One Reports & Term 3 Parent Teacher Interviews
The Assessment and Reporting team made up of staff from Foundation – Yr 6 and our Specialist team have been working hard over the semester to update our end of semester reports so that they align more closely with the Victorian Curriculum standards and our assessment practices. Please see the attached documents that outline the updates to our EPS reports and the changes to the Mathematics curriculum.

Mathematics_2.0
Here at EPS, we have moved to the updated Mathematics Curriculum 2.0. The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority made these changes to help teachers plan their teaching and learning programs in mathematics, giving them more flexibility to support students to link ideas within mathematics and also with other curriculum areas.
Semester One reports will go live to families from 4pm on Friday 28th June (last day of Term 2).
Parent Teacher Interviews will take place in Week 2 of next term. The booking system via Compass will go live in the last week of this term.
