Principal Weekly Update - Term 4 Week 6

YEAR 6 MARKET STALLS THURSDAY 28TH NOVEMBER

Our 2024 Graduating class are busy preparing for their end of year market stalls that they host for their peers. Please be on the lookout for information about this fun event that sees our Year 6 students run a variety of different food, trinket and entertainment stalls.

EPS F -2 MiNI ATHLETICS FRIDAY 29TH NOVEMBER

We are so excited to see the return of our Mini Athletics Day for our Junior School. Details have been sent out via Compass so please make sure you read the event communications from our PE teacher Lauren McGloin!

Lauren has organised day of events taking place from 9-1.40 pm on Friday 29th of November.

ARRIVAL TIME REMINDER

As the mornings are getting lighter and warmer we have seen an increase in students arriving too early to school in the morning.

Supervision onsite does not begin until 8.45 am.

Students should only be arriving earlier if they are booked into Team Kids or attending Breakfast Club.

If attending Breakfast Club, students are only permitted to enter the middle gate on Edithvale Road (NOT the Team Kids entrance)

• Wed 20/11 – Year 1 excursion TwistED Science
• Fri 22/11 – Interschool Sport, Year 3 Scienceworks excursion, Whole School Assembly and OZ Child Giving Tree launch

COMMUNITY THANK YOU

I am sure you are all aware that on Wednesday morning it was essential to enact an Onsite Emergency Management evacuation due to a minor vandalism incident on the grounds. To ensure the safety of our students and community we started the day out on the school oval so that Origin Energy and a plumber could make sure our site was safe and secure, and we could enter the classrooms to start our day of learning.

I couldn’t be prouder of the students, staff, and parent community for their patience, cooperation, and calm demeanour during this period.
