Dear Parents and Carers,
Once again we would like to thank you for helping us support and manage the Victorian Government’s directive- that all students who can learn from home must learn from home.
As per Term 2 for a limited number of students we will once again be providing On-site supervision. This is available for children of parents who have exhausted all other options for getting supervision of their child– older siblings, carers etc. and cannot work from home.
Using feedback we have received from Term 2 we have streamlined this process for parents and carers and hopefully made it a lot easier for you.
Each Tuesday we will send out a link (as below) to an online form for onsite supervision the following week (Monday – Friday) this form will need to be completed by Thursday each week
EPS On Site Attendance Form – Monday 20th July – Friday 24th July
If you have any problems accessing this link alternatively you can completed the attached PDF and email it through to Edithvale.ps@education.vic.gov.au by Thursday.
Both the online and attached PDF forms will be updated and sent out weekly via compass on a Tuesday morning for you to compete. There is no need for you to alter these forms yourself.
A confirmation letter will be sent out via email on Friday afternoons to confirm your child’s attendance days for the following week. If you do not receive this confirmation letter it means we do not have your child registered for onsite supervision for any days the following week (Monday – Friday).
Supervision will mostly be carried out by a combination of our Integration Staff and Casual Relief Teachers.
The learning program delivered on-site will be the same as the learning program delivered to students undertaking remote learning. Students learning on-site will follow the teaching and learning program provided by their classroom teacher and be required to work independently.
To ensure consistency with physical distancing measures:
- Foundation – Year 2 students can be dropped off at 8:45am and collected from 3:15pm at the gate on Edithvale Road.
- Year 3 – Year 6 students can be dropped off at 8:45 am am and collected from 3:15pm at the gate on French Avenue.
As mentioned in previous communication we will be conducting temperature checks on all students as they enter through the gates, any temperature equal to or above 37.5C will be requested to be collected immediately to return home to seek medical advice.
Please stay safe, healthy and connected
Sincerely
James Whitla
