Week 2

National Carers Week

Carers are people who provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have a disability, mental health condition, chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue, or who are frail aged. Anyone can become a carer, at any time.

National Carers Week is an opportunity to raise community awareness among all Australians about the diversity of carers and their caring roles. Here at EPS, we would love to thank all of the adults in our community in a carer role. The work that you do does not come without it’s challenges and we appreciate you immensely.

Homelessness Week Food Drive

During Term 3 as a school, we collected non perishable items for Chelsea Community Support. Last week Mr Pearson dropped off a huge amount of items on behalf of our school. Be sure to check out their Facebook where they posted about the donation and described our students as “young, motivated community members, rallying together to support those that need it… it’s inspiring to see this kind of generosity amongst the young ones, from little things big things grow.”

WEEK 3

  • Tue 22/10 – Yr 6 Queen Vic Market excursion
  • Fri 25/10 – World Teachers’ Day, Senior Assembly

WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY – FRIDAY 25TH OCTOBER

Australia celebrates World Teachers’ Day. It’s Hats Off to Teachers on Friday 25 October!

Each year here at EPS, World Teachers’ Day is a time to celebrate our AMAZING TEACHERS! Let’s celebrate and thank them for all the work they do to educate, inspire and empower learners across across our school.

The annual theme of World Teachers’ Day is ‘Hats Off to Teachers’ – all students can wear a hat in class on this day. It can be preowned, or a creative homemade creation, as colourful and wacky as you like. If students have time at home to make their teacher a card or write them a letter, I know it would be warmly accepted!

PLEASE NOTE STUDENTS MUST WEAR THEIR NORMAL SCHOOL HAT OUT IN THE YARD DURING RECESS AND LUNCHTIME.
