How to Enrol

Choosing a school for your child is a very important decision.

How to enrol at our school

To apply for Foundation (Prep) at Edithvale Primary School for 2027, please follow the steps below.

1. Read about how to enrol at vic.gov.au/enrolling-foundation-prep and access the Enrolment information pack for parents and carers.
2. Submit an enrolment application to Edithvale Primary School by Friday 31 July 2026.

Our school uses the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents. This means you can submit your Foundation application online and receive updates through the system here: VicStudents If you have any questions about the online enrolment process, please contact our school. We have also attached some information regarding VicStudents. Paper enrolment application forms are also available on request.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3 August and Friday 14 August 2026. It is important to submit your enrolment application to us on time as it will ensure your child is included in all transition activities if offered enrolment at our school.

Proof of address

To assist us to verify your child’s permanent address, we request that you please provide 100-points of documentation as per the Residential address check information (see attached).  Documents are expected to show the same full name and address of the parents or carers as recorded on the school enrolment application form. It is important that we verify your child’s permanent address to ensure that we are allocating places at our school in line with the Placement Policy.

If you are unable to provide proof of permanent address because of your individual circumstances, please contact our office on 9772 1393 

If our school is unable to verify your child’s permanent address, or their permanent address changes prior to their first day of attendance, enrolment may be withdrawn.

Department of Education Enrolment Policy

Enrolment at our school is subject to the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy. Students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place. Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au. All other applications will be considered in accordance with the Placement Policy.
