Robotics

Diverse Opportunities For All Students

Our school robotics program allows students to work cooperatively with their peers, problem solve and explore technologies through coding, constructing and programming robots.

Robotics

Digital Technologies

Students from Foundation to Year 6 participate in Digital Technology lessons within their classrooms. Our engaging and future focused curriculum empowers students to use devices, applications and programs in meaningful and purposeful ways.

Through developing a deep understanding of information systems, students learn to become safe, respectful, creative and discerning decision makers. They build the skills to confidently select, use and manage data, information, processes and digital systems to meet current needs and shape preferred futures.

Digital Technologies also plays an important role in supporting diverse learners and ensuring all students can actively participate in the learning process. Through this subject, students develop as innovative creators of digital solutions, effective users of digital systems, and critical consumers of information in an increasingly digital world.

Robotics

Our school robotics program allows students to work cooperatively with their peers, problem solve and explore technologies through coding, constructing and programming robots.

Robotics is taught to all year levels and has a hands-on, targeted approach that will build their skills and confidence throughout their time at school. We have invested in a range of exciting and fun resources to provide further challenging and highly motivating learning opportunities for our students.

Our Robotics program includes:

Foundation/Year 1- Bluebots
Year 2 – Ozobots/Scratch Jr
Year 3- Bloxels
Year 4/5 – Sphero Bolts/Scratch
Year 6- Lego Spike Prime, Tinkercad /3D printing and Scratch.

The Robotics sessions provide a great opportunity to link digital technologies into the students’ learning.  The problem solving involved in the subject gives students a safe environment to work on personal capabilities such as teamwork, resilience and determination. Students across all year levels love this exciting, hands on and fun way to learn.

It’s not the curriculum that we offer that sets us apart...

....it’s the manner in which it’s delivered. Our teachers actively and passionately explore the possibilities of making their teaching practice more innovative, engaging and fun at every turn. This is the single ingredient that drives the most growth in our students.
